C = Compact version.
Recommended for workshop use or quick turn-outs with your service vehicle.

Suitable for non-continuous welding using up to 1.0 mm wires. This power source is also available in a heavy duty version (prepared for IAC), featuring 80 per cent duty cycle. See description of IAC Intelligent Arc Control elsewhere in THE SELECTOR.

S = Separate and detachable wire feed unit.
Recommended if you require a large operating range. The length of intermediary cable (to be selected elsewhere in the SELECTOR) is decisive for your operating range.

Mains voltage

3 x 400 V 50/60 Hz mains voltage +/-15% variation is standard.

Multivolt

For non-standard environments, e.g. offshore, an electronic boost unit for the 3 x 208 V - 3 x 440 V mains voltage range becomes available at a later time.

Cooling

Water-cooling unit (type MCU 1300) with flow control and water temperature read-out in graphic display. Prevents breakdowns and improves torch handle comfort owing to low temperature.

Air-cooling is suitable for non-continuous welding using up to 300 amps. For high intensity welding using more than 300 amps, we recommend water-cooling.

Control panel

The basic control panel is for manual setting of welding parameters. If you don't need any advanced functions or upgrade of your welding machine, please select the basic control panel.

The graphic control panel allows you to upgrade to all future functions and welding processes. Even the basic version of this control panel provides you with language variants, process and machine set-up, service menu and other smart features.

Control

The Basic level of the control panel is designed for MMA and MIG/MAG welding and manual setting of welding parameters.

In the Synergic level, all primary welding parameters are linked and work together. Synergic includes a standard package of more than 50 welding programs.

The Pulse level is perfect for stainless steel and aluminium because it provides spatter-free welding. Pulse includes Synergic and more than 50 welding programs.

Intelligent Arc Control

Note! If you may need to subsequently add on IAC, please select "Prepare for IAC".

Your power source must be prepared for IAC to subsequently add on the IAC function.

IAC makes difficult downward welding of root passes easy, even for less experienced welders. With a 100% stable and focused modified short arc, you achieve complete fusion in root passes. This increase the quality of each weld.

Intelligent Gas Control

If you don't select IGC, gas flow control takes place traditionally at the gas cylinder pressure regulator/tap unit.

Save up to 50% with automatic gas control. IGC prevents over-consumption of gas and gives you long term savings. With weld pools always perfectly protected, you increase the quality of each weld. Calculate your savings here.

Welding torches

MIG-A Twist torches are supplied as air-cooled or water-cooled in standard lengths of 3 m or 4 m. ML torches = air-cooled. MV torches = water-cooled. FKS torches feature double cooling chamber for high performance and long service life. All torch handles are upgradeable with different control units.

Wire rolls kit

High-quality wire rolls with unique colour-coding according to wire dimension - for stable and precice wire feeding in MIG/MAG welding: U-groove, V-groove and knurled U-groove for graphited wires. By default Migatronic supplies 1.0 V-groove for air-cooled and 1.2 V-groove for water-cooled welding machines.

Interconnection cables

Interconnections connect power source and wire feeder and supply welding power, shielding gas and control signals. In water-cooled welding machines, interconnections transport cooling-water to the swan neck. Supplied in standard lengths up to 10 m, but available in longer lengths for large operating range. All interconnections have separate connections for easy switch-over to other welding operations.

Trolleys

For safe transport of welding machine and gas cylinder. Options: trolley for 1 cylinder or trolley for 2 cylinders and support of relief arm. If your welding machine is mounted on a rack, you can deselect trolley.

Earth cables

Earth cables complete the circuit between the arc and the welding machine. Earth cables are dimensioned according to maximum performance. Supplied in standard lengths from 3 to 5 m, but available in longer lengths for large operating range.
